The business’ strategies are essential for its survival in the ever competitive world. These strate gies have to be easily accessible to the customers but not to the other market players. Access codes to the business’ policies that have been posted on the World Wide Web are availed to the targeted clientele. The safeguarding of these strategies within the business gives it a competitive edge in the market. This results in increased sales and subsequent profit margins, in addition to providing an anchorage in the market. An operational security system within the business is essential in preventing cases of fraud in the business in the form of security gateways. Effective gateway systems, which are all inclusive of the fore mentioned aspects of computer security, will enable their detection of fraud in the eventuality that it occurs. The authenticity of the system provides for transparency and accountability. Any individual gaining access to information is directly accountable in the occurrence of a default during their operations. The blue tooth security technology also inhi bits unauthorized persons from accessing information because it requires pass codes (Umar 2004). Access of personal information has also been significantly computerized by means of the mobile phone. The tendency to abuse this information is, therefore, relatively high. However, a workable security system like cellar in the mobile phone has helped reduce thus abuse of information. The regulation to access of this information permits limited or no access by unauthorized persons. This has been practical for me in the use of my cellar-installed mobile phone. The technology allows me to connect with my friends and associates at the touch of a button without my privacy being compromised. My associates, in turn, enjoy quick and convenient secure communication and transactions with me. The blue tooth security technology also inhibits unauthorized persons from accessing information because it requires pass codes and my consent.Advertising Looking for essay on computer science? Business wise, I have kept my strategies strictly private and confidential within my business circles. My customers and suppliers easily access the well guarded information and transact business online (McLoone McCanny 2003). On the contrary, my competitors can not access the information which has given me a market leader status in the market. My personal information and curriculum vitae are also widely available to the world. However, I have undertaken to guard it against access by unauthorized persons through the application of The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Privacy Rule. This has helped me gain more friends, associates and business partners while safeguarding my privacy from a legal point of view. The result has been a growth in my social, economic and personal spheres of life. Computer security is, therefore, essential in the business and personal fronts of life. Not only does only does it give a global aspect but also does it in a secure manner to all the parties involved. This result in a win-win case for both the business vis-à  -vis the individual and his associates. The individual stands to make all rounded significant steps in the right direction. More so, the business also stands to operate at optimum levels resulting to maximization in the profit margins. References McLoone, M, McCanny J.V. (2003). Media language accelerates recovery - Emphasis

Media language accelerates recovery Media language accelerates recovery The increasing use of the word recovery in the press during the recent financial crisis may have contributed to the UKs eventual climb out of recession, new research from Emphasis has found. This unique project the second from the Emphasis Research Centre began as a positive alternative to The Economists R-word index, which predicts economic downturns by tracking the use of the word recession. The research charts the use of the term recovery (along with green shoots) in the British broadsheets during the recent recession and the months leading up to it. It reveals what appears to be a significant link between the number of press articles mentioning the word and climbs in both the FTSE 100 and Nationwide Consumer Confidence Index. The sudden increase in the use of recovery actually began long before any real sign of one existed. In fact, the UK was sliding further into recession and the markets were in freefall at the time. But the continued and ever-increasing reference to a tentative recovery may have helped precipitate a slight return to form, as both indexes began to rise slowly in February 2009. Other factors undeniably played a part in renewed faith in the markets. The stimulus package announced in November 2008, the start of quantitative easing the following March, and the G20 summit in April 2009 are all likely to have influenced confidence. And mentions of recovery, though regular, were often far from positive. Yet the apparent link between the rise in newspapers references to recovery and the fluctuations in both the FTSE 100 and Consumer Confidence Index during the most intense periods of the economic crisis seem significant. It could be that merely repeating the word recovery, like a mantra, somehow seeped into the subconscious of both the public and the market, says Rob Ashton, Chief Executive of Emphasis. This may be an example of journalists creating the news as well as reporting it. Download the full Recovery Watch research report here. Download the press release here.

Another and very familiar threat which almost every business faces is the threat of substitute product. As this is the targeted market so a major part of sales of gourmet mix fruits will be distributed to this market which will be approximately 60% and other 40% of sales will be distributed in other cities of Pakistan. The price would be reasonable as compare to its competitors and easily affordable. There is no authorized outlet of Gourmet in Gujarat so this product will be easily available at almost every retailing shop. Positioning When the process of market segmentation is done and it is decided which segment of the market Gourmet will compete in developed a clear picture of its targeted segment and defined its product, Gourmet will be able to develop the positioning strategy. Businesses should have to set a price that is more attractive and smart to their patrons and offer the business with an excellent level of profit. The product will be sold on ideal selling price which will be easily affordable. The cost of the product offered will depend on cost of production, cost of distribution and plus a fair rate of return. There will be no discount. A van will be allocated distributing the stock to the targeted market well in time to save the customers from any inconvenience. Wholesalers will further distribute it to the resellers and finally the consumer will buy it. Company will hire the physical distribution firms that will also help it to move their stock from their point of origin to their final destination. The orders would be taken on internet or by the financial intermediaries like banks, credit companies, insurance companies, and other related units that help finance transactions or insure against the threats linked with buying and selling of product. Promotion: It includes all the means and ways through which a product can be promoted. One of the strongest way of promoting its product is products advertising. There are market intermediary that are the research firms, advertising companies, media firms, and market accessing firms that help the company goal and its products promotion to the target market. The Amazing Edgar Allan Poe :: Biography Biographies Essays

The Amazing Edgar Allan Poe Edgar Allen Poe suffered from depression, which made his writings tragically beautiful, and if you lived his life, you probably would have been depressed too. He was born in 1809 to a couple of actors. He was two when his father abandoned him. His mother, unable to take care of him, left him with John and Frances Allen. His mother died soon after that. The Allens gave him a good upbringing, but never legally adopted him, leaving him as something of an outcast. Much of Poe’s life was spent struggling. He excelled in school, but was ridiculed by his peers because he was the child of actors. He gambled often and lost a lot, often remaining in debt to others. When the Allens came upon some money, Poe was sent to college. When he left he was intent on marrying Sarah Elmira Royster. However; when his debts brought him back home, she had been engaged to another man. He moved away from the Allenses, and joined the Army. It was during his enrollment his first book was published. When Frances Allen died Poe reconciled with John, and agreed to go to West Point Academy. He did not like the academy and soon dropped out. Estranged from John, Poe began his life of hardships. He was constantly in and out of jobs. He eventually settled in with his Aunt Maria Clemm, and married his cousin Virginia Clemm, who was only thirteen years old at the time (he was twenty six). Only six years later Virginia became ill with Tuberculosis and died after a long st ruggle of 5 years. Poe hit a hard depression afterwards, but then cleaned up for the final year of his life. He spent his last year working, and the circumstances around his death remain a mystery. He was found on a Baltimore street, delirious. The debate continues as to whether he was drunk, but some theories even point to Rabies. We will probably never know. Raleigh NC Discussion: Edgar Allen Poe has become known as the master of moody and hair-raising works. His work has been mocked, critiqued, copied, and redone by many (not to mention turned into a spoof by The Simpsons television show. The complete works of Poe number well over 100 stories, biographies, poems, literary analysis, and criticisms. Poe made the most use of his short lifetime if the number of writings can reflect that quality.

Mason-Caree, Renaissance Architecture

Part. B: Matson-Career. Since High Renaissance period was highly influenced by the Roman culture, the Roman orders of columns were applied in the architecture and most building plans and fade were symmetrical. One of the examples which can be brought from Roman times is the Matson-Career. It is an ancient building located in southern France, and considered to be one of the best preserved Roman temples. The three stepped floor was replaced with a tall platform, and the columns along the sides of the temple were converted to engage columns. Roman Architecture: Essential Humanities†) Units of measurements were based on the human scale and it was in mathematical proportions. One of the best examples of this is Laurent Library by Michelangelo. The Laurent Library was and still considered to be one of his greatest architectural achievements. The significance of the decoration of the library was the fact that they were handmade. The library is considered to be one of the most unified works of the High Renaissance in Florence. (â€Å"Laurent Library – Florence.Laurent Library) The reason why Laurent Library is so special is the fact that it shows the most complete examples of mannerism as its structure, both interior and the furniture. Mannerism comes from the Italian word â€Å"mariner†, which meaner ‘style,' and thus defines the sense of the artist's characteristics. The root of â€Å"Mannerism† originates from Rome at the end of the Renaissance time period. Since it is during the Late Renaissance, it was greatly influenced by the classicism and naturalism of High Renaissance; which was the impact of reformation. It was against he equilibrium of form and proportions of the Renaissance and it was notable in the way it was the period bridging the High Renaissance and the Baroque. The creation of Mannerism was the fine turning point of the historical and stylistic of the period in the way it was an explosion of originality but perfectly fits in the harmony of architectural forms. Laurent Library is unique in the way that it adapts mannerism but the late works of Michelangelo was influenced the mannerist.Michelangelo was praised for his breaking of the ancient architectural theory while other architects ere strictly following the theories. One of examples in Laurent Library was the stairway; its intention of the existence was more like a freestanding sculpture rather than functional architecture. Michelangelo architecture engaged many classical styles like the columns, capitals, bases and myriad as well as other elements from ancient Greece and influenced modern society 21 the century. The Laurent Library is a demonstration of how architects can be creative. Mason-Career, Renaissance Architecture By leukemia

Antisemitism essays

Antisemitism essays The Holocaust was not a strictly Jewish event that only involved the European Jewry as a culture. The Holocaust began with the euthanasia acts that began in 1939 when under the Nazi Party citizens that were racially German who were mentally ill, physically disabled, and incurable sick were gassed and killed. Along with European Jewry other groups such as Russian prisoners of war, homosexuals, Jehovahs Witness, gypsies and others were discriminated against and killed. Although the European Jewry made up the majority of those killed by Nazi Germany they were not the only ones affected by the Nazis reign. The first to be affected by the Holocaust were those who in 1939 had been physically and mentally disadvantaged. These killings were considered mercy killings and under this euthanasia program about eighty thousand people were killed in six different centers. These were not the only killing that occurred but they are the ones that any record of Hitler actually ordering and are therefore the most substantial evidence for the start of the Holocaust. Also, the killing of physically and mentally disadvantaged people meant that European Jewry were not the only to be subject to the horrors of the Nazi state. Another connection between the early euthanasia acts and the later death camps is that the chemists who performed these acts were and experimented with different poisons and carbon monoxide were moved to the East to continue their work there. Since the public had become aware of the actions being taken by the Nazi government the programs were slowed down and gradually moved out of Germany all together. Another argument that functionalist use is that although some intention was there to rid Germany of its Jewish population it was not focused on exterminating them completely. The same anti-Semitist sentiments were just as strong if not stronger in the Great Britain and France. This anti-Semitic...

Art history ( Latin American Photography) (NO RESEARCH PAPER) Essay

Art history ( Latin American Photography) (NO RESEARCH PAPER) - Essay Example Thus combining the subject of an eye hoisted above pedestrian invokes mystery and multitude of meanings. Reversal of negative such as in Alvarez Bravo’s  La Optica Moderna  has been used for a long time. Print makers and typesetters are very familiar with this process albeit its use has not always been for art. Painters used this method by using lenses to cast reverse image of object. In this case, a flipped image caused by a reversed negative to cast a positive image on a paper to produce a reversed text. This is also the case of the eye except that it is not obvious that it is also a reversal because it cannot be read but rather a subject whose orientation does not change with the reversal of the negative. Rendering the artwork in reversed negative and then printing it in black and white or monochrome on a photography paper made Alvarez Bravo’s  La Optica Moderna  modern. It however strikes a paradox because the subject depicts ancient meanings such as deity and mystery especially with the inverted text but rendered through a modern medium of photography. Aesthetically, the image also became more appropriate of where it is hoisted which is in an optical shop except that the symbolism that the artwork suggests that there is â€Å"more than what meets the eye† or that it is not just a commercial signage. Especially when it is rendered in monochrome that marks a serious air about the image. It invites its viewer not just to visit the optic shop for a commercial or medical purpose but to examine closely what does the image means. The reversal of the image may intrigue the viewer of how it was rendered but rather than being curious of how a reversed negative was printed on a photography paper, the viewer will be move more by the eerie feeling of seeing an eye looking over them with a reversed text. It is interesting to note that the artwork was rendered in a photograph and not in

Compare and contrast the Four Leader-centric Approaches Term Paper

Compare and contrast the Four Leader-centric Approaches - Term Paper Example As the paper declares  the person possessing these qualities is considered a leader. A leader has certain important leadership traits such integrity, self-confidence, intelligence and determination. Style in leadership signifies the behavior of the leader. The style of leadership focuses mainly on the activities and the ways of approaching them. However, the leader centric approaches assist in determining the styles of the leaders. These can also be regarded as the qualities or traits which are hidden in different leadership styles. This essay highlights that the common question that is often asked is that, is the leaders above the law or does the moral values that applies to all, also applies to the leaders? Immanuel Kant, suggested that according to the deontological ethics, morality binds every one which also includes the leaders. So it can be said that if Kant is right in his approach, the leaders cannot have a rule breaking attitude, and cannot appeal if he/she is regarded wron g. However, in spite of this if a leader engages in any unethical behavior is simply an unreasonable person. So reasons demand that every person has to act in one way including a leader. The golden rule is that, which Kant has suggested, that says that, we should treat everyone the way we want to be get treated by others.  This view is very much applicable for authoritative leaders, who must understand that he is not different but part of the same crowd.
